Fortum extends free charging service to EV users in Hyderabad till Oct 31st 2018

Hyderabad, August 17th, 2018: Fortum India, a subsidiary of leading Finnish clean energy company Fortum Oyj, has extended free charging facility to the users of electric vehicles in Hyderabad at all of its EV Charging stations till October 31st 2018. The free charging service, which was previously offered till 15th August, has now been extended with an aim to initiate more and more people to use of EV.  The consumers can avail these services at 6 outlets across Hyderabad viz- Rajbhavan Road, Begumpet, Uppal, Jubilee Hills, Attapur & Hydernagar areas. To avail the service, users need to download the Fortum Charge & Drive India App and register themselves.   

“We have extended the free charging facility, in order to familiarize more and more people with ease of charging an EV using digital platform.  We are very happy to note that post our installation of chargers more and more people have started using our services. We have added four additional charging stations in Hyderabad which makes it to total six stations in Hyderabad. This will further accelerate the Indian Government’s mission to ensure that over 30 percent of the vehicles on Indian roads are electric by 2030.
